Wine country at its finest

Last week I was able to sneak up to wine country to see the Traditional Home Napa Valley Showhouse. Worth it? Definitely. I mean, what’s not to love about vineyards, a beautiful home and the renewed feeling that comes from seeing beautiful spaces?!

I loved the mix of the dark wood with the raw, industrial steel that sits above the Living Room. Oh, and I’m obsessed with Gray Malin’s artwork peaking through (can you tell what my favorite sport is?). I am seriously coveting his Tennis Lesson at The Parker.

One of my favorite things in (work) life is designing pillow details. I love this combo of metallics, bright yellow and blue and the chunky knit…

Continuing on the theme of details, how clever are these feather hooks that were installed in the Guest Bath? I feel like I can never use a boring robe hook again!

Last, but not least, these inverted stools with hair-on-hide upholstery were the perfect touch to the Landing Area by Pulp Design Studios.

These were just a sampling of my favorite things, but there’s still time to get up to the Napa Showhouse before it closes on January 8th. I suggest making a day out of it and having lunch at the Oxbow Public Market, tasting some vino and touring the showhouse…inspiration to be found at all places!
