Sourcing furniture and staying on top of new products is one of the best parts of my job. A great table, whether a dining table or side table, can make a room, which is why I thought I’d share a few tables that I’m drooling over…
The Tobi-Ishi table, designed by Edward Barber and Jay Osgerby for B&B Italia, has a wood top and a polyurethane base, and is coated in a glossy blue or red lacquer. Given my sailing roots, I love how the base looks like a sailboat keel and the nautical color options would certainly make a statement.
I love a multi-functional piece and the Griffin Stool/Side Table (above) from NWBLK is no exception. This piece works interchangeably as a side table or stool and its lightweight, high-gloss fiberglass shell topped with a warm wood top could easily move around a room…perfect for entertaining!
A pedestal dining table is great for dinner parties as you never have to worry about the table legs being in the way of chairs. I am loving this contemporary wood version, designed by Thom Filicia for Kravet, with its cerused ash finish and blackened metal accents running down the star base. Its just different enough to make you look twice!
I hope you are inspired as I am by these beautiful tables!
